LEAD stands for “Leadership, Evangelism And Discipleship.” If you’re entering Grade 10, 11 or 12 next fall, the LEAD program at Keats can be your “bridge” from Camper to Staff!

With a focus on service and spiritual instruction, the LEAD program will help you develop your faith and train you to become an effective leader both at Keats and in your local community.
Level 1: Deckhand. Serve by maintaining facilities (including washrooms) and working in the dish room. One of the hardest-working jobs you’ll ever love.
Level 2: Crew. Work alongside our staff to instruct campers in Seatrade skills, assist with camper games, and join in camper cabin discussions. Serve some meals; help with cabin clean-up, or where needed.
Both Deckhand and Crew participants enjoy daily devotions, Bible Studies, group and individual teaching and “one-on-one” sessions as part of everyday life. Deep, often lifelong, friendships are formed within the LEAD program, as participants learn and grow together. We often hear that being in LEAD was “the BEST summer of my life!”
After completion of the LEAD program, participants are eligible to apply for volunteer staff positions the following summer.
