SUMMER STAFF

Please be praying about what the Lord has in mind for YOU next summer.  It may be at Keats, and it may be in another job or ministry.  Whatever the answer, we know that if you are praying about it then God will help you find the right place for you.

For those who do end up in a job at Keats, here are a few thing we would like you to know and be ready to agree to:

We will ask you to be committed to way of thinking about your priorities:

   Are you willing to put Jesus First, campers (others) second, and yourself last?

In a setting where everyone is doing this, remember that the staff member next to you has Jesus first, others (maybe you) second and him/herself last.  This way we are all looked after by the Lord, then the people around us, and lastly by ourselves.  We will grow as a staff as we look to the Lord, look after each other, and lose our dependence upon ourselves.  You are at camp for a summer to share Christ in word and action.  This has eternal implications for many of the campers...what an opportunity we have to see the Kingdom of God in action!

We will be asking you to:
  • Bring your Bible with you - for personal study and reflection, as well as to bring to all staff meetings (your primary text at Keats)
  • Memorize scripture - the verses will be provided
  • Keep a journal (we will provide you with one!) - enter items to pray about, how God is answering prayer, how God is working in your life and notes for when you write to the kids who come to camp
  • Spend personal time in prayer each day

Before you apply you need to think about this:  Your represent Keats Camps, but more importantly you represent Christ when you agree to commit you time this summer at Keats.  To that end, you need to ask yourself, is what I am doing or saying honouring to God? It is really important that you be in a place where you are putting the Lord first, or wanting to put the Lord first in you life.  We are looking for a staff that  is really desiring and trying to live for God all the time.
