Senior Bosun
Responsible to: Facilities Manager
Start & End Date: June 13 – August 31
Position: Paid
Job Description: Works in the Facilities department as part of a team to see that the site and all necessary buildings and activities are in good running order for campers, staff, and guests. Takes on responsibility and leadership under Facilities Manager to see all tasks and responsibilities carried out in a timely manner.
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum 20 years old
- Class 5 B.C. Drivers License
- Experience working in similar field helpful (i.e., current and valid boating license, Marine Emergency Duties A3, and ROCMC)
- Organized
- Leadership experience
Specific Responsibilities:
- General maintenance around property (as defined by Facilities Manager)
- Make runs into Gibsons
- Lead maintenance team in work projects
- Assist with garbage and recycling
General Staffing Principles
All staff will actively pursue the ministry of the camp through the application of biblical principles in his/her leadership of and personal relationships with the staff and campers. Staff must be dedicated to showing humble servant attitudes through putting others ahead of themselves, looking for the betterment of the camp as a whole, and helping out not only in tasks, but also emotionally and spiritually in the unity of the staff team.
