Position: Paid
Job Description: Work as part of a team to see special events and theme executed to create a ‘wow’ experience for all the campers. Work in activity areas to help run them successfully. Help with other areas to see camp as a whole be successful.
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum 21 years old
- Experience leading large group games and activities
- Leadership experience
- Can work in team & independently
- Willingness to be outgoing and enthusiastic
- Flexible & creative
- Can take initiative
Specific Responsibilities:
Supervise Skippers and First Mates
- Encourage program staff
- Pray for program staff
- Facilitate daily meetings with Skippers and First Mates
- Provide spiritual leadership
Lead daily games and activities
- Creating games
- Organizing staff & L.E.A.D. involvement in games
- Explain rules and lead games
Organize special events
- Dances
- Bands/concerts/coffee houses
- Night games
- Sneak-outs
Meals
- Make announcements
- Organize skits & themes
Other
- Plan weekly program and schedule
- Oversee writing and choreography of a welcome dance and skit
- Lead large group activities, sports and hikes
- Instruct activities when necessary
General Staffing Principles
All staff will actively pursue the ministry of the camp through the application of biblical principles in his/her leadership of and personal relationships with the staff and campers. Staff must be dedicated to showing humble servant attitudes through putting others ahead of themselves, looking for the betterment of the camp as a whole, and helping out not only in tasks, but also emotionally and spiritually in the unity of the staff team.
