Camp Director (Harbour Master)

Dan Galpin

Dan is back at Keats for summer 2011 as the Camp Director. Dan was Co-Program Director for summers 2009 & 2010 and is also a Paramedic working with BC Ambulance in Gibsons, BC. Dan’s heart is to encourage staff to grow in their faith; to live it out on a daily basis. Dan is also passionate about worship; as a participant in Keats’ worship team, his desire is to lead people into authentic worship of Christ through song. Dan and his wife Holly are excited about the opportunity to serve the Lord at Keats again this summer.

Food Services Director

Elvera Corben

We are pleased to say that Elvera is returning to Keats this summer. Elvera has years of experience cooking at camps including Keats and Barnabas. Elvera has also spent many years in other ministries: She founded the Open Door for Single Mothers and The Banqueting Table–ministries that continue to bless single mothers today, even though Elvera now splits her time between Keats Camps and her flock of grandchildren!

Elvera loves to cook delicious and nutritious meals. Virtually all of the meals at Keats are made from scratch, including the bread and the baked goods. Countless young adults have worked with, and been mentored by Elvera in the Keats kitchen over the years. Spending this time with young people as they transition into young adults is something that Elvera is most passionate about. Elvera’s cinnamon buns are a legendary Keats Camps treat. Some of her kitchen alumni from years gone by even drop by with their own children to help in the traditional cinnamon bun preparation once a week!
