Keats Camps is located on Keats Island in Howe Sound. The property sits on approximately 230 acres of land at the southwest tip of the island. The actual campus, surrounded by fields and woodlands, is 12 to 15 acres in size.
The cabins at Keats are bunk-style, arranged in clusters of 3 to 6 cabins per building. Whaler’s Village, the original part of the camp, is home to 12 of the cabins arranged around our central “green.” The green is a hub of activity for volleyball, basketball, soccer and all sorts of games. Across the green, 3 of our meeting rooms–the Clamshack, the Wheelhouse and the LEAD lounge–complete the circle.
The newer Pilothouse is home to 6 additional cabins, and an upstairs meeting room with fully-equipped kitchen, washroom and wood stove. This building, within steps of Whaler’s Village, is located close to the Dining Hall and Chartroom, our newest meeting area.
All cabins contain 12 to 14 beds. During the summer camps, we house 10 to 11 campers and 2 leaders in each cabin.
All cabins contain full bathroom facilities, including sinks, showers and toilets.

During the summer, Keats Camps launches a 5,000 square foot waterfront system that is the focal point of our waterfront activities. Seventeen docks form this system which encloses a natural ocean swimming pool, a set of docks for the motorized boat activities such as wakeboarding and tubing, and separate docks for canoeing, kayaking and sailing.
This summer waterfront is located at Reach Rock, and is affectionately known as “Reach Rock Resort.”
These docks are removed and stored on dry land after the summer is over, as they would not withstand the winter storms on the south side of the island.
On the northwest side of Keats we have our year-round docks. They are more sheltered in this location, and are close to the town of Gibsons where our supplies and contractors generally come from.
Salmon Rock, on the southwest tip of our property, is a dearly loved destination for Keats guests and campers. In fact, everywhere you go on Keats there are stunning views and places to relax and enjoy the awesomeness of God’s creation.
