Volunteers

We depend on volunteers!

From skilled labour such as carpenters, plumbers, cooks and nurses to unskilled labour donated by people who love to serve at camp, a lot of things are accomplished at Keats by those who choose to donate some of their time to come and help keep the camp in great shape!

Every May long weekend for the past number of years Hillside Baptist’s youth and leaders have come to Keats to help with anything from ditch-digging to lawn mowing to general clean-up.

Last year, students from Lions Gate Christian Academy put on their painting clothes and gave a polished finish to the walls of the Chartroom, our newest meeting area.

During the spring a group of all ages came out from Olds First Baptist Church in Alberta to help with the restoration of one of our cabin clusters.

Folks from White Rock Baptist, The Church at Southpoint and Berea Baptist also came together to completely renovate a whole cluster of cabins for summer 2010.  About 240 campers over the course of the summer were able to come to Keats because those cabins were made ready.

Volunteering isn’t just about the work!  At the end of the day there’s still time to relax with friends, play a game of flag football, or hike to Salmon Rock.  Often groups bring guitars and spend time in worship and fellowship at the end of their workday.  Keats is happy to provide food and lodging if the groups stay overnight.

Contact us to let us know if there’s a way you think you can help.  Come, be part of the Keats Community!
